Experience:
Mr. Davis has been specializing in the defense of civil actions for over thirty-five years. While at Morrison, Mahoney & Miller, Mr. Davis oversaw the growth of that firm from eight to one hundred lawyers. He was the principal trial attorney and a managing partner at Morrison, Mahoney & Miller for many years, and he was instrumental in opening that firm’s London branch office where he spent time representing various Lloyd’s underwriters including the defense of their toxic tort litigation in the United States. He was lead counsel on behalf of Rexall in the DES Class Action filed in Massachusetts, and he has represented Fisher Scientific of Pittsburgh in a number of different toxic exposure situations. He was designated national counsel for Colgate-Palmolive Company in 1982, handling litigation related to the company and its present and former subsidiaries, NDM, Bike Athletic Companies/Sterno, and he is national counsel to JUGS, Kazmaier Associates, Marksman Corporation and Schutt Industries where he manages their products litigation involving head protection, sporting goods and firearms. Mr. Davis holds the highest “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Davis was a columnist for Design News from 1982 to 1995. He regularly contributed articles concerning national trends in product liability litigation, legislative updates and product warnings issues. He was the author of “Collateral Estoppel”, Federation of Insurance Counsel Quarterly (Fall, 1983). Mr. Davis has also been active in the field of risk management/liability prevention. He has participated in seminars related to the defense of products liability in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Japan and has conducted in excess of 200 in house seminars for American and European companies including Airbus Industries, British Aerospace, Corning Glass Works, Colgate-Palmolive, Coleman Industries and British Petroleum. He is a member of the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association and is an active member of the Sports Litigators & Corporate Counsel Group.
